As a member of the Engineering Department this Project Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical advice and support on design and construction projects for our sites as well as leading projects and managing engineering contractors.
Assist in the design, development and implementation of engineering, and construction projects for Greymouth Petroleum's assets and facilities.
Participate and conduct studies to confirm the scoping requirements and justification for major additions/upgrades to sites.
Lead planning and implementation of projects, manage project budgets, contractors and resource allocation.
Direct construction activities at the project site.
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to safety standards, environmental compliance and design specifications.
Liaise with and manage interfaces between all company and external stakeholders, throughout the project process.
Experience and knowledge required:
At least 10 years relevant work experience from an engineering environment including project management, engineering, and construction preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline.
Frequent use and general knowledge of good engineering systems practices, techniques, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
Very good computer skills including, MS Project, Excel and Word.
Strong organisational skills in relation to planning, attention to detail, record keeping, administration and the meeting of deadlines.
Good understanding of Health and Safety systems, procedures and legislation specific to the energy industry
