Tui Ora Family Health is a multi-doctor GP service based in New Plymouth, offering quality primary medical care at a low cost. Recently refurbished to cope with increased demand, the practice offers an attractive environment for staff and patients.
The Administration Leader is responsible for the day to day management of the non-medical tasks in the Tui Ora Family Health practice. The focus is on delegation of workload and liaison with staff, policy and process development, systems development and maintenance. This position is responsible for providing customer service excellence, general administration and reception services in support of the clinical team in this Primary Health Care setting. The position supports the staff delivering receptionist and administration services within Tui Ora Family Health. This role is the Privacy Officer and Complaints Officer for Tui Ora Family Health.
We are looking for someone who has the following person Specifications:
Business and/or health administration or other relevant qualification preferred
Level 4 Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
Calm, unflappable personality, unfazed by difficult patients
Full, clean NZ Driver Licence.
Along with the following experiences and skills:
Previous experience in office management which includes financial analysis, report collation and human resource management.
Previous experience in a GP practice or medical centre
Leadership experience is an advantage
Proficient with programme features (formatting, editing, tables, graphics, file management)
Good work processing skills
Facilities management, Health & Safety/Risk Management support frameworks
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
A working knowledge of Med Tech is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team
Excellent organisation skills and able to take responsibility for completion of tasks
Strong work ethic, demonstration by a high level of integrity, reliability, efficiency and self-management
Fast learner with excellent attention to detail
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to plan and achieve goals in an environment of scarce resources
Ability to communicate comprehensive information, including using presentations, written and orally
Proven ability to form collaborative/professional relationships with all stakeholder groups
Ability to critically think, coach and influence others
Practices, promotes and creates a culture that fosters high standards of ethics and integrity
Is personally trustworthy, delivers on promises and honours commitments

Experience in applying Tikanga Māori as it applies in the role is desirable
