The opportunity

This is an ANZ role which offers you the opportunity to make your mark through proactively identifying and implementing continuous improvement solutions to the supply chain on both sides of the Tasman.

The role

As a Supply Chain Improvement Specialist you will lead the implementation of improvement initiatives across the supply chain organisation. You will optimise business value by identifying opportunities, scoping improvement projects and synchronising cross-functional implementation efforts. An effective communication and collaborative style are essential to manage a dynamic information flow between all functions, anticipate future business requirements, and lead the introduction of efficient supply chain solutions. As a key influencer you will enhance the medium and long term value chain, and demonstrate agility and adaptability by bringing strong supply chain expertise to the early stages of the product life cycle and beyond.

In addition to your continuous improvement and strategic functions, your role will have a hands-on element, enabling you to gain first hand experience across the company's supply chain functions. This will include overseeing the contract manufacturing of some products, and providing backup to other planning functions. Here is a role that offers real variety.

Qualifications & requirements:

Relevant Bachelors degree (Supply Chain / Logistics, Engineering or Business Studies). APICS qualifications would be an advantage.
Formal Lean training. (Six Sigma certification would be beneficial but not essential.)
Experience in planning or broader supply chain roles would be valuable, including supply chain technology expertise (ideally SAP, APO).
Proven experience leading operational improvement projects that have resulted in optimised supply chain performance.
Strong investigative skills and analytical capability with superior competency with Excel.
Ability to deal with ambiguity, and engage cross-functional teams towards customer-focused goals.
Ability to think and act strategically within a competitive and changing environment.
Ability to anticipate, lead and build consensus quickly.
