Dry Stock Farm Manager

rystock management role located on the outskirts of the Hawera Township.

This 550-hectare property finishes around 500 lambs and farms 1,200 beef cattle along with 375 ewes, is 80% flat, centrally raced, and located just 15 minutes from Hawera, in Ohangai. The Farm Owner lives off farm but oversees and visits the property regularly.

Candidates will need to have around three years management experience, be able to lead one other staff member, and have a desire to keep both the farm and stock presentation at an optimum level.

The appointed Dry Stock Farm Manager’s responsibilities will include;
- Leadership of one team member (Fencer General)
- Crop establishment and management (18 ha fodder beat)
- Health, safety and environmental compliance
- Preparing and submitting of a monthly management report
- Completing stock reconciliations
- Feed budgeting and pasture management
- Overseeing that all stock related tasks are completed
- Animal health and well-being

The normal hours worked per week is 45 - 55 (Maximum). There is competitive remuneration along with an excellent five-bedroom family home, redecorated throughout the main living/sleeping areas. Primary and Secondary school buses are available within 2km.
