The Todd Energy Aquatic Centre is a thriving and fun-filled facility. As a permanent, full-time Lifeguard you will provide supervision and customer service to all pool users, ensuring that their visit is not only fun but also safe. In this role of full-time Lifeguard you will be called upon from time to time to provide leadership and mentoring to other lifeguards. You will deliver a range of day-to-day operational activities along with poolside supervision and performing water chemical tests. The key to this role is your ability to communicate to all age groups across the community and have a positive, flexible approach to your work. Having a First Aid Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate and/or working towards National Certificate in Recreation and Sport - Core Skills is desirable, however not essential as full training can be provided. This is a replacement position and the successful applicant will join a department of nine other Consultant Physicians who have subspecialty interests in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Renal and Rheumatology. The successful candidate will take part in a 1:9 General Medicine on call rota with Registrar and House Officer support.
