20th June 2013 05:21am

The 22nd June fixture will be the final game in the three match Steinlager Series scheduled to play out on New Zealand soil next year.

The International comes nineteen years after France last visited the province, having previously played Taranaki during their 1961, 1968 and 1984 New Zealand tours.

New Plymouth has an excellent track record hosting first class rugby fixtures, having held three Rugby World Cup 2011 games and two International Test matches in recent years. The 2013 Test will be the third time the All Blacks have played Test rugby in New Plymouth with Venture Taranaki acting as the regional sponsor of the game. In 2008 the All Blacks defeated Samoa in front of a jubilant sell-out crowd. Victory was repeated in 2010, as Ireland succumbed to a dominant New Zealand side.
